Job summary

Akumin is a leading provider of outpatient radiology and oncology services. The Staff Accountant – Accounting and Financial Reporting supports monthly and quarterly close, prepares financial statements and footnotes, and ensures accuracy of reports close to home.

You will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, cash management support, and assist with audits. A Bachelor's degree and 2–3 years of related experience, plus strong Excel and an active CPA license, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of related accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes, MD&A and investor reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packet for internal reporting.
• Record journal entries to the general ledger for debt, equity, goodwill, and intangibles.
• Review general ledger accounts for propriety; investigate discrepancies and journal corrections.
• Assist with daily cash management and treasury reporting.
• Assist in annual financial audits.
