Job summary

Akumin, a leading provider of outpatient radiology and oncology services, is seeking a Staff Accountant – Accounting and Financial Reporting. The role supports monthly and quarterly close, prepares financial statements, footnotes, and journal entries to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

You will review general ledger accounts, assist in audits, handle cash management, and contribute to internal reporting packets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of related experience and/or training.
• CPA license
• Proficiency in Excel with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting and close process.
• Prepare monthly reporting packet for internal reporting.
• Prepare journal entries to record financial transactions to the general ledger for debt, equity, goodwill, and intangible assets.
• Review general ledger accounts for propriety and reasonableness; investigate discrepancies and prepare correcting entries as needed.
• Assist with daily cash management and treasury reporting.
• Assist in annual financial audits.
