Job summary

Akumin is a leader in outpatient radiology and oncology services nationwide. The Staff Accountant – Accounting and Financial Reporting supports monthly and quarterly financial close processes, prepares financial statements, footnotes, and journal entries, and contributes to accurate, timely financial reporting.

This role is based in Iowa and collaborates with accounting management to ensure integrity of statements and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of related experience and/or training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and other Excel capabilities.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes, MD&A and investor reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packet for internal reporting.
• Prepare journal entries to record financial transactions to the general ledger.
• Review general ledger accounts for propriety, investigate discrepancies and prepare correcting entries.
• Assist with daily cash management and treasury reporting.
• Assist in the annual financial audits.
