Job summary

Formic seeks a seasoned Accounting professional to support audit readiness, month-end close, and overall accounting operations. You will work across the finance function, ensure accurate financial reporting, and drive process improvements to strengthen internal controls.

Your role will partner with Supply Chain on inventory controls and drive efficiency in close activities, supported by a collaborative finance team in a fast-growing Robotics-as-a-Service company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (general ledger, month-end close, journal entries)
• Experience supporting financial audits or audit readiness
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills with supporting schedules and reconciliations
• Ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive work to completion
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
• Experience improving close processes or audit workflows (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Audit support and readiness: respond to auditor requests and coordinate materials
• Month-end close: prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and schedules
• Financial reporting support: internal and management reporting
• Identify accounting discrepancies and process gaps; propose improvements
• Maintain documentation for recurring accounting processes
• Partner with Supply Chain to implement inventory management processes and counts
