Job summary

Formic is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our Finance team in the United States. The role focuses on audit readiness, month-end close, general ledger activity, and continuous process improvements to support a fast-growing Robotics-as-a-Service business.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel/Sheets skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently while delivering accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger accounting, month‑end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Experience supporting financial audits, audit readiness, or external auditor requests.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including comfort working with supporting schedules and account reconciliations.
• Ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive work to completion.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow‑through.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and project management skills with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Audit Support & Readiness: respond to auditor requests and coordinate materials across systems and stakeholders; prepare for the 2026 audit cycle with scalable processes.
• Month‑End Close & General Ledger Accounting: assist with journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules; improve timeliness of close deliverables; support internal and management reporting.
• Accounting Operations & Process Improvement: collaborate with Supply Chain Manager to implement inventory management processes; assist with reconciliations, close management, and documentation; create and maintain documentation for recurring processes.
