Okta is seeking a Manager, Site Reliability Engineer to lead our SRE Leadership Team. You will drive technical direction, scale operations, and ensure reliability for our authentication platform worldwide.

You will mentor engineers, cultivate a blameless culture, and partner with product and platform teams to reduce toil while increasing system uptime and performance. This is a high-impact leadership role in a remote-first, globally distributed organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on team leadership in SRE or software engineering
• 8+ years of total industry experience
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and infrastructure as code (Terraform)

Responsibilities

• Lead the SRE team’s technical direction and translate vision into roadmaps
• Operate 24/7 on-call rotations and troubleshoot critical systems
• Build infrastructure resilience with monitoring, alerting, and automation
• Champion reliability best practices and embed observability across engineering
• Mentor and develop SRE talent through pairing and code reviews
• Represent reliability in architectural reviews and strategic planning
