Job summary

Pivotal Health is hiring a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to define how reliability, scalability, and operational excellence are built into our platform. You’ll work hands-on with infrastructure and production systems while guiding reliability across the company.

This senior individual contributor role partners with software, data, AI, security, and product teams to design resilient systems, enhance observability, and raise the bar for infrastructure engineering. Remote/hybrid options apply.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of site reliability engineering or related leadership in large-scale systems.
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, networking, containers, and orchestration.
• Experience building highly available systems in fast-growing environments.
• Strong observability, SLOs, capacity planning, incident management and disaster recovery.
• Experience creating automation and internal tooling to reduce toil and improve developer productivity.
• Ability to influence architecture and engineering practices across teams without formal authority.
• Excellent communication to translate risk and tradeoffs for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set reliability strategy and roadmap for availability, scalability, and operational readiness.
• Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure and shared services.
• Build and improve observability with metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts.
