Job summary

Invoca is seeking a Sr Manager for Site Reliability Engineering to lead the evolution of its infrastructure across AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, and AI-enabled operations. You will manage a team of 8 SREs, set priorities, and partner with security and architecture to align infrastructure with business goals.

This remote-first role requires deep hands-on SRE experience, strong hiring leadership, and a track record of shipping reliable platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on in an SRE, DevOps, systems, or infrastructure engineering role, and 3+ years directly managing teams.
• Deep platform experience: Cloud infra in AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform) and policy-as-code, GitOps and CD (ArgoCD & Atlantis), Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK), Linux (Chef), MySQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of Invoca's infrastructure: decide what runs in-house vs managed, move to managed Kubernetes, reduce operational load, own tech direction with partnerships.
• Lead a team of 8 SREs with clear bar, own 3-month delivery plan, participate in architecture/planning, and collaborate with tech leads and architects.
• Build infra with agents in mind: define API-driven workflows with governance, extend policy controls for safety, define boundaries between infra and product teams, drive adoption.
• Build for the agentic development era: apply AI & agentic workflows in how we build and operate infrastructure, ensure safe, observable AI integration.
• Standardize engineering leverage: create shared practices and tooling, treat infrastructure as a product with adoption goals.
• Connect infra to business outcomes: translate decisions to velocity, cost, risk, revenue; prioritize work by measurable impact.
