Job summary

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• Ability to code in at least one programming language.
• Working knowledge of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support SRE workflows with validation and data sensitivity awareness.
• Ability to assess AI-assisted operational recommendations for correctness and risk, and apply controls to maintain resiliency and security.
• Experience maintaining a cloud-based infrastructure.
• Familiar with site reliability concepts, principles, and practices.
• Familiar with observability, SLOs, and telemetry collection.

Responsibilities

• Executes small to medium projects independently with initial direction and graduates to designing and delivering projects independently.
• Writes high quality, maintainable, and robust code following software engineering best practices.
• Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to speed up incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis, with proper validation and data sensitivity handling.
• Participates in triaging, examining, diagnosing, and resolving incidents, working with others to address root causes.
• Recognizes toil and works to eliminate it through systems engineering or code improvements.
• Understands observability patterns and works to implement and improve SLOs, monitoring, and alerting for transparency and analysis.
• Applies enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to identify recurring toil and reliability risks from operational signals, prioritizing reusable improvements and measurable SLO outcomes.
