Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer III to join the Commercial and Investment Banking and Payment Technology Team in Chicago. You will help design, build, and operate scalable, reliable software and infrastructure through code and cloud-based solutions.

You will work across deployment and reliability practices, leveraging AI-enabled capabilities to speed up incident triage and root-cause analysis, while ensuring data sensitivity and security.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on site reliability engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Proficient in site reliability culture and principles with implementation experience.
• Familiar with CI/CD tooling, container orchestration, and AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

• Guides and assists others in site reliability engineering best practices within the team.
• Collaborates to design, develop, test, and implement deployment and reliability approaches using automated pipelines.
• Uses enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate incident triage and post-incident analysis with proper data handling.
• Implements infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for the applications within remit.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to resolve complex problems, tracking progress with SLOs/SLIs.
• Identifies patterns in operational signals to prioritize reliability improvements tied to SLOs.
• Familiar with availability, reliability, scalability, and iterates with partners to improve outcomes.
• Proactively identifies roadblocks and explores new technologies when appropriate.
