Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking an AVP of DevOps Engineering to lead a team building an AI-driven observability platform for enterprise environments. The role focuses on monitoring LPL environments with Dynatrace/OTEL, enabling intelligent automation, and driving modern reliability practices across the organization.

The SRE/DevOps leader will drive incident management, automation, and cross-functional collaboration to reduce MTTR and outages while delivering scalable, secure, and auditable platform

Qualifications

• 10+ years in SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Infra Engineering, or Production Ops
• 3+ years of engineering leadership managing SRE/DevOps/Platform teams
• 7+ years automating with Python/Go/Java or similar
• 2+ years AI/ML-driven ops including anomaly detection and predictive monitoring
• 7+ years on AWS/Azure/GCP, Kubernetes, containers, and CI/CD practices

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing SRE/DevOps team
• Define the enterprise observability and AI-driven operations roadmaps
• Establish SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, monitoring and readiness
• Drive Dynatrace adoption for logs, metrics, traces, and dashboards
• Sponsor AI/ML capabilities for predictive monitoring and alerting
• Lead incident management, RCAs, and continuous improvement
• Partner with application, infra, cloud, security, and architecture teams
• Champion self-healing and IaC-driven automation
• Advance platform engineering and IaC adoption across environments
• Set governance metrics and report outcomes to leadership
