Job summary

BNY Mellon seeks a Senior Vice President, Site Reliability Engineer, to join our Technology team. This role resides across Lake Mary, FL and Pittsburgh, PA, and focuses on reliability at scale.

You will design end-to-end observability, automate toil, and lead incident triage with a strong programming background in Java and hands-on experience with AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, or Splunk.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Strong programming background in Java or another modern language.
• Hands-on experience with at least one observability platform such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, or Splunk.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot production systems and drive automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end observability across distributed systems and build monitoring.
• Automate repetitive ops tasks and develop self-healing solutions.
• Triage incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate remediation.
• Improve system reliability and performance through capacity planning and optimizations.
