Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration seeks a Sr Staff Systems Architect Engineer (Solutions PO) to own the architecture backlog and shape evolving C2BMC capabilities. This role supports multi-company teams and requires DoD interoperability expertise.

The position is based in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL and requires on-site work with no remote option. A Secret clearance is required to start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field with 14 years of experience; or Master’s with 12 years; or PhD with 10 years.
• Applicants must have an active in-scope Government-issued Secret security clearance at start.
• Experience in systems engineering or solutions architecture on complex defense/ C2BMC programs.
• Proven ability to lead in a multi-company, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture backlog as Architecture Product Owner for C2BMC solutions.
• Define operational, physical, functional, and technical architectures for evolving C2BMC capabilities.
• Translate high-level needs into integrated hardware/software solutions with clear requirements and architectural views.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate system models, ICDs, data models, and flow diagrams.
• Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers; ensure architecture work is implementable and testable.
