Job summary
Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration seeks a Sr Staff Systems Architect Engineer (Solutions PO) for Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL. This on-site role focuses on commanding and controlling missile defense architectures, turning mission needs into hardware/software solutions, and leading architecture artifacts across a multi-company team.
Required are a relevant degree with 14+ years, or Master’s with 12+ years, or PhD with 10+ years, plus a current Secret clearance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher in CS/Engineering/Math/Physics or related field; 14+ years experience (or equivalent with Master’s: 12+; PhD: 10+)
- Current in-scope government secret clearance at start is required
- Experience in systems engineering, solutions architecture on complex defense or C2 programs
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture backlog as Product Owner for C2BMC solutions
- Define operational, physical, functional, and technical architectures with multi-company teams
- Translate mission needs into integrated hardware/software solutions and architectural views
- Develop and maintain system models, ICDs, data models, and flow diagrams
- Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers in architecture methods
