Job summary

Digital Prospectors is seeking a Sr. Aerospace Electronic Packaging Engineer to support design, development, fabrication, assembly, integration, and testing of spaceflight electronics and ground support equipment.

The role requires strong mechanical and packaging expertise, CAD modeling, and collaboration across engineering teams. The ideal candidate will coordinate with product and project leads, drive 3D CAD work, and ensure designs meet manufacturability and aerospace standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics, structures, and testing.
• Experience with electronic packaging design and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with leads and project management to deliver hardware on schedule.
• Lead design teams for spaceflight electronic hardware and subsystems.
• Create and revise 3D CAD models, drawings, and layouts using NX or SolidWorks.
• Improve manufacturability, structural integrity, and performance of designs.
• Interface with packaging and manufacturing engineers, QA, and suppliers.
• Plan and produce work instructions for fabrication and assembly of packaging and cable harnesses.
