Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Littleton, CO is seeking an Electronics Packaging Engineer to advance spaceflight avionics hardware from early 3D concepts to flight-ready enclosure designs. You will produce drawings and documentation for fabrication, and coordinate with thermal, dynamic, stress, reliability, EMC and survivability analyses to ensure robust, producible packages.

You will interface with Parts Engineering, QA and Purchasing, support manufacturing to minimize cycle time, and work within an IPT.

Qualifications

BS or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related discipline.
Experience with PWB/CCA Package/Enclosure Design (IDX files, board outlines, connector selection, artwork review, component mounting, cooling techniques) CAD modeling and drafting experience.
Willing and able to obtain DoD Secret clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Design an electronic enclosure and provide technical data for informal and formal design reviews.
Coordinate with thermal, dynamic, stress, reliability, EMC, and survivability analyses.
Support manufacturing and test to minimize cycle time and resolve packaging problems.
Prepare drawings and documentation for fabrication and assembly of hardware.
