Job summary

Digital Prospectors seeks a creative Power Electronics Engineer with space hardware experience to lead design from concept to delivery. You will work on power and sensor electronics for space missions, developing systems and documentation.

The role requires a BS in EE with 3+ years (or MS/PhD) and hands-on fabrication and testing of analog/digital hardware, LabVIEW and Python, Altium.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with 3+ years experience (or advanced degree).
Experience in analog, digital, mixed-signal electronics and power systems design.
Experience designing, fabricating, assembling, and testing analog or power electronics hardware.
Experience with test software/hardware, LabVIEW and Python-based test equipment.

Responsibilities

Develop subsystem electronics and support reviews of electronics, test equipment, and test plans.
Develop and execute task plans and budgets for space flight electronics through development, build, test, and delivery.
Develop system designs and requirements for space power systems and power electronics.
Design and develop power and sensor electronics for space missions and other applications.
Prepare and maintain documentation related to development, analyses, design drawings, and build/test activities.
Report technical progress, schedule status, and budget status to management.
Contribute to advanced electronics technology development for future missions.
