Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst - II for a 100% remote position supporting VA applications. The role focuses on software CM, release engineering, cloud migration, and tool development to ensure compliant, repeatable build and deployment processes.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with stakeholders, and help enforce CM standards across projects in a regulated environment. U.S. citizenship and Public Trust clearance required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading CM and release engineering across multiple environments.
• Background in regulated or federal-style enterprises.
• Strong knowledge of CM practices: identification, baselining, change control, status accounting.
• Proficiency with CM tools and scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and lead cloud migration efforts.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery.
• Perform CM and release tasks to document and standardize builds.
• Design, develop, automate, and maintain tools to improve modeling and development.
• Create build procedures for product development and use.
• Train developers in CM tools and quality practices.
• Provide technical guidance and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor junior analysts/engineers in CM best practices.
