Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Senior Configuration Analyst - II to lead software configuration management and release engineering for VA-related projects. This remote, 100% U.S.-based role emphasizes cloud migration, CM tool development, and cross-functional collaboration with developers and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will command deep CM expertise, strong scripting skills, and experience in regulated environments, delivering compliant, repeatable build and deployment processes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and delivering complex software builds and releases across multiple environments.

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and migrate to the cloud.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software (COTS and in-house).
• Perform CM and release engineering tasks to document and standardize build parameters and configurations.
• Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using scripting/database languages.
• Create build procedures to support software product development and use.
• Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.
• Train developers in CM tools and quality practices.
• Provide technical guidance for complex problems.
• Operate autonomously and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor junior analysts/engineers.
