Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst - II to lead software configuration management (CM) and release engineering across VA projects. This 100% U.S.-based remote role requires U.S. citizenship and a Public Trust (MBI) clearance.

You will drive CM tool development, automation, and governance while mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate has deep CM expertise and experience in regulated environments, with strong collaboration skills and a track record of

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline; 10+ years of relevant experience.
Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience may be substituted for education.
U.S. Citizenship required for this opportunity; security clearance eligible.

Responsibilities

Support VA applications and migrate to the cloud.
Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software and COTS products.
Perform CM and release engineering tasks to ensure compliant, documented builds across environments.
Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools to improve software modeling and development.
Design and implement build procedures to support software product development and use.
Develop company-wide software configuration standards.
Train software developers in CM tools and quality standards.
Provide technical guidance and solutions to complex problems.
Operate autonomously and meet deadlines.
Ensure compliant, repeatable build/deployment processes across projects.
Collaborate with stakeholders; lead and train junior analysts/engineers.
