Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a Patient Benefits Representative to support the Medical Oncology Department at Texas Oncology in Dallas, TX. This full-time role focuses on educating patients about insurance coverage and benefits, evaluating financial needs, and guiding them through eligibility processes at the Dallas clinic located at 7777 Forest Lane.

Level 1 or Sr level depending on experience, with emphasis on adherence to compliance and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum three years’ experience as a patient pre-services coordinator or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with CPT and HCPCS coding.
  • Must complete required e-learning within 90 days of occupying position.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain insurance coverage information and demographics prior to treatment.
  • Educate patients on insurance coverage, benefits, co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs.
  • Update and maintain patient eligibility, coverage, and benefits in the system.
  • Obtain pre-authorization or referral codes from Clinical Reviewer prior to treatment.
  • Review patient account balance and coordinate with front desk for payments.
