Job summary

The US Oncology Network, serving at Texas Oncology, seeks a Patient Benefits Representative to educate patients on insurance coverage and benefits, assess financial needs, and manage eligibility and costs. This full-time role supports Radiation and Medical Oncology in Plano, with a Monday–Friday schedule and standard clinic responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of CPT coding and HCPCS coding; proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrates strong verbal communication and ability to educate patients on insurance coverage and benefits.
• Must complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on insurance coverage, benefits, co-pays and out-of-pocket expenses.
• Assess patients' financial ability and discuss payment arrangements and financial assistance options.
• Obtain pre-authorization or referral codes prior to treatment and ensure accurate patient demographics and coverage in the system.
