Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a Patient Benefits Representative to join our team at Texas Oncology in Dallas. The role supports the Medical and Gynecological Oncology Departments and reports between 7:30a and 5:00p, Monday through Friday.

Level 1 or Senior depending on experience. You will educate patients on insurance coverage and benefits, assess financial need, update eligibility in the system, obtain pre-authorization, and assist with cost estimates and patient billing questions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three years pre-services coordinator or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) required.
• Demonstrate knowledge of CPT/HCPCS coding.

Responsibilities

• Obtain insurance information and educate patients on coverage, benefits, co-pays, and costs.
• Assess financial ability and discuss payment options and assistance programs.
• Update patient eligibility, coverage, and benefits in the system and assist with forms.
• Obtain pre-authorization or referral codes prior to treatment.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; support billing with forms as needed.
