US Oncology Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking a Patient Benefits Representative to educate patients on insurance coverage and benefits, assess financial capability, and support eligibility and benefit updates for the Medical Oncology Department at our 7777 Forest Lane clinic.

The role requires strong communication, billing coordination, and familiarity with CPT/HCPCS coding, with a 40-hour workweek from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday–Friday. Level 1 or Sr depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three years pre-services coordinator or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Knowledge of CPT and HCPCS coding.
• Clear verbal communication and correct terminology usage.
• Must complete required e-learning within 90 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on insurance coverage and benefits.
• Assess patients' financial ability and explain available assistance programs.
• Update insurance eligibility, coverage, and benefits in the system.
• Obtain pre-authorization or referral codes prior to treatment.
• Review patient balances and coordinate with front desk.
• Ensure accurate entry of patient co-pays in the system.
• Verify demographics and insurance at each visit.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA.
