The Chemours Washington Works facility in Parkersburg, WV is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Engineer – Electrical to join the central maintenance engineering team.

You will serve as the electrical engineer for a production unit, addressing short-term electrical and instrumentation issues and driving improvements with project scopes up to $500,000. Responsibilities include developing job plans, leading troubleshooting and root cause analysis, collaborating with E&I mechanics and operations, and

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• 5 years of Engineering experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic electrical engineering principles.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and solve technical problems with data-based decisions.

This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the Washington Works Team. This position will report to the Maintenance Engineering Manager.The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:This role serves as an Electrical Engineer for the Chemours Central Maintenance Engineering Organization and will be assigned to one of the Production Units at the Washington Works plant in Parkersburg, WV. Electrical Maintenance Engineers address short-term electrical & instrumentation issues in a timely manner to keep the plant running. They also design and implement improvement projects up to $500,000.The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:Support high quality, efficient field execution of electrical Maintenance workDevelop Job Plans, Procedures and Execution StandardsLead troubleshooting and supports Root Cause Analysis for larger eventsPossesses deep practical knowledge of instrumentation, equipment and repairsCollaborate with E&I Mechanics, Operations and other engineersImproves work execution and standardizationImplements smaller Change of Designs (CODs) in the plantQUALIFICATIONS:In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited university5 years of Engineering experienceDemonstrated knowledge of basic electrical engineering principlesDemonstrated skill to diagnose and solve technical problems – making data-based decisions.Ability to work both independently and in a team environmentExcellent oral and written communication skills.Willing and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toes, hard hat, Nomex, eye protection, respirators, etc.Strong interpersonal skills and a “hands on” approach.Troubleshooting experienceThe following skill sets are preferred by the business unit :8 years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentRoot Cause Analysis experienceExperience specifying and implementing valves and instrumentation including flow, temperature, and pressure measurementsIn our pursuit to be the greatest place to work, we know that a critical element to enhancing our employee experience is to assure we’re operating with a solid foundation of trust.
