Job summary

Chemours Washington Works in Parkersburg, WV is seeking a Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical to join the maintenance engineering team. This is a highly visible role reporting to the Maintenance Engineering Manager.

The ideal candidate holds a ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, at least 2 years of engineering experience (Co‑op acceptable), and demonstrates troubleshooting, data‑driven decision making and strong communication. PPE and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from ABET accredited university.
• 2 years of engineering experience (including Co‑op).
• Knowledge of basic mechanical engineering principles.
• Ability to diagnose and solve technical problems using data.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willing and able to wear PPE (steel toes, hard hat, Nomex, eye protection, respirators).
• Strong interpersonal skills and a hands-on approach.
• Troubleshooting experience.

Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical The Chemours Washington Works facility located in Parkersburg, WV has a Mechanical Engineer position available. This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the Washington Works Team. This position will report to the Maintenance Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

• Support high quality, efficient field execution of mechanical Maintenance work
• Develop Job Plans, Procedures and Execution Standards
• Lead troubleshooting and supports Root Cause Analysis for larger events
• Possesses deep practical knowledge of fixed or rotating equipment and repairs
• Collaborate with Mechanics, Operations and other engineers
• Improves work execution and standardization
• Implements smaller Change of Designs (CODs) in the plant

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skill to diagnose and solve technical problems – making data-based decisions.

• Willing and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toes, hard hat, Nomex, eye protection, respirators, etc.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a “hands on” approach.
• Troubleshooting experience

Preferred Skills

• 4 years of mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Root Cause Analysis experience
• Experience specifying and repairing fixed and rotating equipment

Pay

Pay Range (in local currency): $85,801.00 - $134,064.00

Chemours Level: 24

Annual Bonus Target: 6%
