Position Reporting To

Service Team Leader

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will execute service work according to work instructions, ABB quality, and safety guidelines. You will deliver quality customer service by planning and executing service work aligned with customer orders and expectations. Additionally, you will showcase your expertise by ensuring customer retention through effective communication of service work timelines and expectations.

The work model for this role is remote. This position contributes to the Electrification Smart Power division in Northern Virginia. Your main responsibilities include:

1. Collaborating with customers on-site to identify opportunities for operational improvements and pain point elimination.
2. Performing field service tasks, diagnosing technical issues, and conducting analysis through remote or on-site activities within your certified service categories and products.
3. Preparing material lists for service activities and ensuring availability and quality of all materials, parts, and equipment.
4. Serving as a trainer for field service associates and customers when needed.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Technical School training
• At least 5 years of experience servicing critical power equipment or equivalent education and professional experience.
• Broad experience in Field Service, focusing on Critical Power Systems (Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Power Distribution, Static Switch Batteries, and Power Conditioning Systems).
• Experience with Medium Voltage power conditioning and distribution equipment is a plus.
• Must have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
