This position reports to

Service Team Leader

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will execute service work according to work instructions, ABB quality, and safety guidelines. You will deliver quality customer service by planning and executing service tasks aligned with customer orders and expectations. You will demonstrate your expertise by maintaining customer retention through effective communication of service timelines and expectations. The work model for this role is remote, contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in Northern Virginia. Your main responsibilities include:

  1. Working on-site with customers to identify opportunities for operational improvements and pain point elimination.
  2. Performing field service tasks, diagnosing technical issues, and analyzing problems through remote or on-site activities within your certified service categories and products.
  3. Preparing material lists for service activities and ensuring all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of suitable quality.
  4. Acting as a trainer for field service associates and customers when needed.
Qualifications for the role
  • Associates Degree or Technical School training
  • At least 5 years of experience servicing critical power equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Broad experience in Field Service or related roles focusing on Critical Power Systems, including Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Power Distribution, Static Switch Batteries, and Power Conditioning Systems.
  • Experience with Medium Voltage power conditioning and distribution equipment is a plus.
  • Must have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
