This position is graded as 13 and reports to the Service Team Leader.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will execute service work according to work instructions, ensuring compliance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. You will deliver quality customer service by planning and executing service tasks as per customer orders and expectations. Effective communication of service timelines and expectations will be essential. The work model for this role is remote, contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in Northern Virginia. Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with customers onsite to identify operational improvements and eliminate pain points.
• Performing field service tasks, troubleshooting technical issues, and conducting analysis remotely or onsite within your certified service categories and products.
• Preparing material lists and ensuring availability and quality of all materials, parts, and equipment needed for service activities.
• Training field service associates and customers when needed.

Qualifications for the role

• Associates Degree or Technical School training.
• At least 5 years of experience servicing critical power equipment or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Broad experience in Field Service or related roles focusing on Critical Power Systems (e.g., UPS, Power Distribution, Static Switch Batteries, Power Conditioning Systems).
• Experience with Medium Voltage power conditioning and distribution equipment is a plus.
• Must have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
