Job summary

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Senior Director of Medical & Scientific Affairs – Specialty Testing to set vision and lead complex product development and clinical programs worldwide.

You will partner with senior external stakeholders, academics, and Beckman teams to advance diagnostic solutions in urinalysis, hematology, and related areas, impacting patient outcomes globally.

Qualifications

• Doctorate level required with 20+ years in medical & clinical affairs.
• Board-certified hematologist preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication across diverse audiences.
• Strong leadership fostering transparency, collaboration and innovation.
• Strong negotiation and problem‑solving skills to influence at multiple levels.
• Minimum 5 years of project management to define goals, plan, delegate and evaluate.
• Broad clinical knowledge beyond hematology (bone health, anemia, immunology).

Responsibilities

• Steer strategic direction for Specialty Testing and support product development, regulatory submissions, and marketing.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across matrix organizations and grow talent.
• Establish academic partnerships for future research and innovation.
• Lead global health economics, policy, and reimbursement strategies.
• Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders to shape future hematology/urinalysis tech.
• Translate clinical insights into guidance for product teams.
• Support pre-launch initiatives, commercialization, and life cycle management with evidence generation.
