Job description

Position Description:

The role of a Senior Compensation Consultant is within our Human Resources Department.

Summary

Collaborate with managers and department leadership to maintain consistent, accurate, and timely compensation consultation. Provide advanced analysis of compensation trends and guidance for annual planning. Develop presentations and data visualizations to support recommendations. Partner with the Budget Office during departmental budget preparation and work collaboratively with HR leadership.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Provide solutions to resolve complex issues and oversee the application, communication, and implementation of compensation policies.
  2. Measure the effectiveness of programs to ensure organizational objectives are met.
  3. Demonstrate ownership of the compensation-related HR modules in HRIS/Workday.
  4. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  5. Manage salary surveys, labor market analysis, and assist with wage and salary guideline implementation.
  6. Assist with the design and communication of programs like the key leader incentive and merit cycle, providing guidance on other plans.
  7. Review and analyze position requests for appropriate salary grading.
  8. Conduct market pricing to ensure competitiveness and analyze labor market data.
  9. Maintain job descriptions and employee files for documentation.
  10. Perform job evaluations for consistency and appropriate classification.
  11. Evaluate departmental salary budgets during the annual cycle.
  12. Perform detailed data analysis and present findings to stakeholders.
  13. Support organizational decision-making through reports and dashboards.
  14. Research and analyze compensation solutions for competitiveness.
  15. Utilize databases and software to analyze and present data effectively.
  16. Create visual data displays for senior management.
  17. Handle compensation inquiries and delegate as needed.
  18. Coach and train team members and complete special projects.

All remote work must be performed within one of MCW's registered payroll states, including WI, AZ, FL, IL, IN, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, TN, TX, and UT.
