Job description

Role: Senior Compensation Consultant

You will be working in our Human Resources Department.

Summary

Collaborate with managers and department leadership to maintain consistent, accurate, and timely compensation consultation. Provide advanced analysis of compensation trends and guidance for annual compensation planning. Develop presentations and graphical data representations to support recommendations. Partner with the Budget Office during departmental budget preparation for the upcoming fiscal year. Work collaboratively with HR leadership team members.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Provide solutions to resolve complex issues and oversee the application, communication, and implementation of compensation policies.
  2. Measure program effectiveness to ensure organizational objectives are met.
  3. Demonstrate ownership over the compensation-related HR modules in HRIS/Workday.
  4. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  5. Handle submission of salary surveys, labor market analysis, and assist with wage and salary guideline implementation.
  6. Assist with designing, implementing, and communicating recurring programs, including key leader incentives and merit cycles. Provide guidance on other current and potential incentive plans.
  7. Review and analyze requests for new or revised positions to determine appropriate salary grades.
  8. Conduct annual and ad-hoc market pricing to maintain competitiveness. Analyze labor market data and help maintain wage and salary guidelines.
  9. Maintain job description templates and employee files for proper documentation.
  10. Perform job evaluations for consistency in titles and grades, utilizing FLSA standards. Classify positions appropriately.
  11. Evaluate departmental compensation budgets during the annual cycle.
  12. Perform detailed data analysis and present findings to stakeholders.
  13. Support organizational leadership through reporting, dashboards, and business analysis.
  14. Research and measure compensation solutions for competitive pay practices.
  15. Utilize databases, spreadsheets, and statistical tools to analyze and present data.
  16. Create visual data displays for reporting to executives.
  17. Manage inquiries via the compensation inbox, providing responses or delegating as needed.
  18. Coach and train less experienced team members.
  19. Complete assigned special projects.

Note: All remote work must be performed within one of the MCW registered payroll states, including WI, AZ, FL, IL, IN, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, TN, TX, and UT.
