Job description

Position Description:

The role of Senior Compensation Consultant is based in our Human Resources Department.

Summary

Collaborate with managers and leadership to provide consistent, accurate, and timely compensation consulting. Analyze compensation trends, guide annual planning, develop data presentations, and partner with the Budget Office during fiscal planning. Work collaboratively with HR leadership.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Resolve complex compensation issues, oversee policy application and communication.
  • Measure program effectiveness to meet organizational objectives.
  • Manage HRIS/Workday compensation modules.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Handle salary surveys, labor market analysis, and wage guideline implementation.
  • Design and communicate compensation programs, including incentives and merit cycles.
  • Review and analyze position requests for salary grading.
  • Conduct market pricing and maintain wage guidelines.
  • Maintain job descriptions and documentation.
  • Perform job evaluations for consistency and classification.
  • Analyze budget submissions and perform detailed data analysis.
  • Support leadership with reports, dashboards, and business analysis.
  • Research and measure competitive pay practices.
  • Utilize databases and statistical tools to analyze data and create visual reports.
  • Serve as escalation point for compensation inquiries, provide training, and complete special projects.

Note: Remote work is permitted within registered MCW payroll states: WI, AZ, FL, IL, IN, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, TN, TX, and UT.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Effective communication, problem-solving, stress management, teamwork, confidentiality, integrity, and organizational skills are essential. Ability to conceptualize, prioritize, and plan effectively.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Preferred certification: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).

Target salary range: $74,500 - $94,900 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
