Job description

Position Description:

We’re looking for creative thinkers and innovation seekers who are committed to making a difference. The role of a Senior Compensation Consultant is within our Human Resources Department.

Summary

Collaborate with managers and leadership to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely compensation consulting. Analyze compensation trends, guide annual planning, and develop data presentations. Partner with the Budget Office during fiscal planning and work collaboratively with HR leadership.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Resolve complex compensation issues and oversee policy implementation.
  2. Assess program effectiveness to meet organizational objectives.
  3. Manage HRIS/Workday compensation modules.
  4. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  5. Handle salary surveys, labor market analysis, and wage guideline implementation.
  6. Design and communicate compensation programs, including incentives and merit cycles.
  7. Review job requests for salary grading.
  8. Conduct market pricing and maintain wage guidelines.
  9. Maintain job descriptions and employee files.
  10. Perform job evaluations for consistency and classification accuracy.
  11. Evaluate departmental budget submissions.
  12. Analyze data and present findings to stakeholders.
  13. Support leadership with reports, dashboards, and business analysis.
  14. Research and ensure competitive pay practices.
  15. Utilize various software for data analysis and presentation.
  16. Create visual reports for senior management.
  17. Respond to compensation inquiries and delegate as needed.
  18. Coach team members and complete special projects.

Note: Remote work is permitted within registered MCW payroll states: WI, AZ, FL, IL, IN, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, TN, TX, and UT.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, confidentiality, integrity, and organizational skills are essential. Ability to conceptualize, prioritize, and manage stress effectively.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Preferred: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).

Target salary range: $74,500 - $94,900 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
