Job description

A Brief Overview

Participates in the daily review of compensation inquiries and requests. Recommends, develops, and implements employee compensation changes. Configures job codes, job families, and job functions. Evaluates new job titles and conducts ongoing job analyses and evaluations. Participates in salary surveys and analyzes survey results. Supports the annual compensation benchmarking and planning cycles by compiling data, preparing reports, system configuration, responding to inquiries from leadership, training, and troubleshooting, as needed. Participates in special projects, such as: implementation and updates to the Job Description Management software, Market Pricing and Salary Survey software, and the Compensation Administration system, etc. Supports enhancements to current compensation processes and evaluates new compensation programs. Works in partnership with the rest of the Human Resources team to ensure that base pay and incentive programs are competitive in the market.

What you will do
  1. Perform data analytics, modeling, reporting, and auditing of job and employee information across the organization.
  2. Review and prepare job descriptions reflecting responsibilities, activities, duties, and requirements.
  3. Assess requests for new or revised job descriptions to determine appropriate market benchmark.
  4. Formulate recommendations regarding development of salary structures, FLSA exemptions, job revisions, and career paths.
  5. Prepare and review budgets, expenses, and accruals for all compensation programs.
  6. Conduct special studies and provide recommendations on pay, incentives, and long-term plans.
  7. Develop, implement, and administer compensation policies, programs, and systems.
  8. Participate in compensation surveys to analyze competitive salary data.
  9. Review salary adjustments for compliance with guidelines and policies.
  10. Recommend actions to improve internal equity and market competitiveness.
  11. Review statutory requirements and advise on compliance.
  12. Assist in configuration, testing, and implementation of compensation systems.
  13. Research legislation impacting compensation and benefits.
  14. Ensure data integrity through audits of job and employee information.
  15. Analyze pay practices in relation to company strategy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Required)
  • Master's Degree (MBA in HR Management) (Preferred)
  • 4-6 years experience in broad-based pay, including administration of pay and incentives (Required)
  • 1-3 years experience mentoring compensation staff (Preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of compensation principles and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills in oral and written forms.
  • Ability to plan, assign, and review work of others.
  • Training ability.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (including VLOOKUP, PivotTables), and PowerPoint.
  • Autonomous, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
  • High integrity with sensitive data confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of legal standards like ERISA, FLSA, and Equal Pay laws.
  • Business acumen and awareness of market trends.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) (Preferred)
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary, generally between $85,000 - $95,000, plus potential bonuses. Final salaries depend on location, skills, education, certifications, and experience. We value pay equity and consider internal and external factors for offers. Our total rewards package is comprehensive.
