Job description

Position Description:

The role of a Senior Compensation Consultant is based in our Human Resources Department.

Summary

Collaborate with managers and leadership to maintain consistent, accurate, and timely compensation consultations. Analyze compensation trends, guide annual planning, develop data presentations, and partner with the Budget Office on fiscal planning. Work collaboratively with HR leadership.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Resolve complex compensation issues, oversee policy application, and communication.
  2. Evaluate program effectiveness to meet organizational objectives.
  3. Manage HRIS/Workday compensation modules.
  4. Ensure compliance with legal standards.
  5. Submit salary surveys, analyze labor market data, and assist with wage guidelines.
  6. Design and communicate recurring compensation programs and provide guidance on incentive plans.
  7. Review position requests for salary grading.
  8. Conduct market pricing and maintain wage guidelines.
  9. Maintain job descriptions and employee records.
  10. Perform job evaluations for consistency and compliance.
  11. Analyze budget submissions for departments.
  12. Perform detailed data analysis and reporting for stakeholders.
  13. Support organizational leadership with reports and business analysis.
  14. Research and measure compensation solutions for competitiveness.
  15. Utilize databases and statistical tools for data analysis and presentation.
  16. Create visual data displays for executive reporting.
  17. Handle compensation inquiries and delegate as needed.
  18. Coach team members and complete special projects.

All remote work must be performed within one of MCW's registered payroll states, including WI, AZ, FL, IL, IN, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, TN, TX, and UT.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, confidentiality, and integrity are essential. Ability to conceptualize, prioritize, and organize work effectively.

Position Requirements

Qualifications: Experience may substitute for education on an equivalent basis.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Experience: 3 years

Preferred Certification: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)

Target salary range: $74,500 - $94,900 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
