Job description

Position Description:

We're looking for creative thinkers and innovation seekers who are committed to making a difference. The role of a Senior Compensation Consultant is within our Human Resources Department.

Summary

Collaborate with managers and leadership to maintain consistent, accurate, and timely compensation consultation. Provide advanced analysis of compensation trends, guidance for annual planning, and develop presentations supporting recommendations. Partner with the Budget Office during departmental budget preparations and work collaboratively with HR leadership.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Resolve complex issues related to compensation policies and oversee their application and communication.
  • Measure program effectiveness to ensure organizational objectives are met.
  • Manage HR modules in HRIS/Workday, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Handle salary surveys, labor market analysis, and assist with wage and salary guidelines.
  • Design, implement, and communicate compensation programs, including incentive and merit plans.
  • Review and analyze requests for new or revised positions for appropriate salary grading.
  • Conduct market pricing to maintain competitiveness and assist with wage guideline maintenance.
  • Maintain job descriptions and employee files, perform job evaluations, and ensure consistency.
  • Analyze compensation budgets and perform detailed data analysis for reporting and decision-making.
  • Research and measure compensation solutions to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Utilize databases and statistical tools for data analysis and presentation, including visual storytelling for leadership.
  • Serve as the escalation point for compensation inquiries and train team members as needed.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.

Note: Remote work must be performed within one of MCW's registered payroll states, including WI, AZ, FL, IL, IN, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, TN, TX, and UT.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, manage stressful situations, and maintain confidentiality. Demonstrates conceptual thinking, prioritization, organization, integrity, and professionalism.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred certification: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).

Target salary range: $74,500 - $94,900 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
