Job summary

Akraya is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst - Compliance to help monitor and improve IT hygiene governance. The role focuses on visibility into adoption, maturity, compliance, and effectiveness through reporting, assessments, and data-driven analysis.

The ideal candidate will have strong Jira and ServiceNow experience, with a background as a Process SME, maturing operating models, and aligning governance standards with compliance needs. Collaboration with Scrum Masters and BAs is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong Jira expertise - Must Have, including process management and governance.
• ServiceNow experience - Required, preferably including Performance Analytics.
• Experience developing dashboards, reports, and compliance metrics using Power BI, Excel, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operationalize sustainable reporting mechanisms and dashboards to measure IT Hygiene adoption, maturity, compliance, and value realization.
• Partner with IT leaders and initiative owners to assess adherence to IT Hygiene policies, standards, processes, and metrics.
• Identify, document, and analyze non-compliance, trends, risks, and performance gaps with leadership.
• Produce and distribute monthly compliance and performance reports showing progress, risks, gaps, and corrective actions.
• Analyze performance patterns and drivers to explain strong or weak performance across teams and domains.
• Recommend improvements to IT Hygiene policies, processes, governance, and performance measures across compliance, risk, and governance teams.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Business Analyst - Compliance to support the Office of IT Hygiene in monitoring, assessing, and improving enterprise IT Hygiene practices and governance. The role will provide visibility into the adoption, maturity, compliance, and effectiveness of IT Hygiene initiatives through sustainable reporting, compliance assessments, and data-driven analysis.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Jira and ServiceNow, along with experience serving as a Process SME, defining and maturing operating models, implementing governance processes, and ensuring adherence to established standards and compliance requirements. Experience working with Scrum Masters, Technical Program Managers, and Business Analysts is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operationalize sustainable reporting mechanisms and dashboards to measure IT Hygiene adoption, maturity, compliance, and value realization.
• Partner with IT leaders and initiative owners to assess adherence to established IT Hygiene policies, standards, processes, and performance metrics.
• Identify, document, and analyze instances of non-compliance, negative trends, emerging risks, and performance gaps, providing insights to leadership.
• Produce and distribute monthly compliance and performance reports that provide visibility into progress, risks, gaps, and areas requiring corrective action.
• Analyze performance patterns and underlying drivers to identify causes of unusually strong or weak performance across teams and domains.
• Recommend improvements to IT Hygiene policies, processes, governance standards, and performance measures while supporting alignment across compliance, risk, and governance teams.

Must-Have Skills

• 6-10 years of experience in IT compliance, governance, analytics, process management, or related functions.
• Strong Jira expertise - Must Have, including process management and governance.
• ServiceNow experience - Required, preferably including Performance Analytics or Platform Analytics.
• Strong experience developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, compliance metrics, and performance analytics using Power BI, Excel, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience serving as a Process SME and defining, implementing, and maturing operating models.
• Experience providing process oversight across Scrum Masters, Technical Program Managers, and Business Analysts.
• Knowledge of IT governance frameworks such as ITIL and COBIT.
• Experience with IT audit, risk management, compliance assessments, and enterprise governance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT Hygiene, governance, compliance, and process maturity concepts.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present compliance findings and recommendations to IT leadership.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across IT, business, compliance, risk, and governance teams.
