Job summary

Central Transport is seeking a maintenance supervisor to lead our mechanical team across multiple shops. You will hire, train, and develop staff, maintain productivity, and ensure budget compliance while upholding safety standards.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of experience with tractors, trailers, and forklifts, strong technical and communication skills, and a proven ability to foster a collaborative shop environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of industry knowledge and experience working on tractors, trailers, and forklifts.
• 3–5 years of management or supervisory experience.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in and develop a team atmosphere.
• Experience and understanding of working within a budget.
• Strong knowledge of Class 8 truck & trailer repair.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent multitasking and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Hiring, training, and development of mechanical staff
• Maintain efficient productivity levels
• Ensuring shop stays in compliance with set budget
• Oversight of satellite locations with a small hourly staff
• Managing parts inventory
• General maintenance and repairs on company trailers
• Enforce & practice all company safety procedures to ensure a safe environment
• Follow all D.O.T. and OSHA safety standards

Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule of:

(6AM to 4PM) ~ (Monday-Friday) ~ willingness and ability to work other shifts and weekends

Salary ranges from:

$100,000 - $140,000
