Job summary

Central Transport LLC is seeking skilled mechanics to maintain a large fleet of tractors, trailers and related equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and after-treatment systems, and ensure safety through inspection of brakes, steering and bearings.

• ASE certification is preferred, not required.
• Basic set of tools is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical/after-treatment systems on Class 8 tractors.
• Repair trucks, trailers and related equipment; inspect brakes, steering, bearings for safety.
• Oil changes, battery checks, lubrication; service engines, transmissions and differentials.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services such as troubleshooting and repairing electrical and after-treatment systems on our Class 8 tractors.
• Repair trucks, and trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery Repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmission, and differentials
