Job summary

Central Transport LLC is seeking qualified automotive mechanics to maintain a large fleet of tractors and trailers across the United States and Canada. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and timely repairs to ensure safe, efficient operation of Class 8 equipment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience, brings a basic tools set, and values reliability and safety. Eligibility for Inland Empire or Sacramento-area postings may apply; compensation starts at $35

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in vehicle maintenance or a related field.
• Basic set of tools is required.
• ASE certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot electrical and after-treatment systems on Class 8 tractors.
• Repair trucks and trailers and related equipment in a timely manner.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings and other critical parts.
• Perform routine maintenance like oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication.
• Repair major components such as engine, transmission, and differentials.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services such as troubleshooting and repairing electrical and after-treatment systems on our Class 8 tractors.
• Repair trucks, and trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
• Repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmission, and differentials
