Job summary

Central Transport is seeking a vehicle maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and repair on our fleet of tractors and trailers across the United States and Canada. You will troubleshoot electrical and after-treatment systems, inspect critical components, and complete routine servicing to keep our fleet running smoothly.

We offer industry-leading pay starting at $34/hour, company-paid training, and a range of benefits including medical, dental, and PTO.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in maintenance or trucking.
• ASE certification preferred but not required.
• Basic set of tools required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on Class 8 tractors and trailers.
• Repair trucks, trailers and related equipment in a timely manner.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings and other parts for proper condition.
• Perform routine maintenance like oil changes and battery checks.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services such as troubleshooting and repairing electrical and after-treatment systems on our Class 8 tractors.
• Repair trucks, and trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery.
• Repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmission, and differentials.
