Job summary

Central Transport LLC is seeking a Terminal Manager to oversee dock operations, supervise drivers and dock staff, and ensure safe, efficient freight handling at our network of terminals.

Ideal candidates have LTL management experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a bachelor’s degree (preferred). The role requires around 50 hours/week and offers a competitive salary with benefits including 401(k), PTO, medical/dental insurance, FSA and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Prior LTL management experience is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
• Strong leadership, hiring, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dock operations at the terminal, including loading/unloading freight and forklift traffic.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain terminal staff.
• Provide leadership to a team of drivers and dock workers.
• Monitor dock production, ensuring KPI goals are met and exceeded.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure company operational model compliance.
• Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts as business levels increase.

Salary ranges from: $75,000-$90,000/year + up to an additional 20% in quarterly bonuses.

Terminal Manager

Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule of: Monday-Friday 6:00AM-4:00PM.

Duties

• Oversee dock operations at the terminal. This includes the process of loading & unloading freight, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain terminal staff.
• Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers and dock workers.
• Monitor dock production, ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met and/or exceeded.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure company operational model compliance.
• Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts as business levels increase.
