Job summary

Central Transport LLC is seeking a Terminal Operations Supervisor to oversee outbound dock activities and lead a team of up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and high-quality service within a dynamic, technology-driven network.

The ideal candidate will have experience in transportation or shipping environments, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.

• Experience in transportation, cross docking, or shipping/receiving (LTL preferred).
• Strong leadership qualities required.

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outbound operations for your designated section of the terminal dock, including loading, forklift traffic, and unloading palletized freight.
• Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to meet a production schedule.
• Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring trailer cube and weight.
• Provide leadership and accountability to drivers, dock workers, and dock hands.
• Monitor dock production to achieve KPI goals and maintain safety compliance.
• Monitor hours and overtime to control labor costs.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure adherence to company operational model and quality standards.

Salary: Up to $75,000 + bonus

Shift: 10:00am-8:00pm Monday-Friday

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in a transportation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving environment (preferably within the LTL industry)

• An Associates or Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee outbound operations for your designated section of the terminal dock This includes the process of loading, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing the proper unloading of palletized freight.
• Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to achieve a designated production schedule.
• Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring the cube and weight of trailers
• Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers, dock workers and dock hand.
• Monitor dock production, ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met and/or exceeded.
• Monitor hours and overtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure company operational model compliance.
• Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers
