Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Manager of Supplier Quality Engineering to lead a team of SQEs, drive supplier performance, and implement corrective actions across the BU. The role requires deep experience in supplier quality systems and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering and Global Supply Chain.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years in supplier quality, strong root cause capabilities, and travel up to 30%. This is a critical leadership role within a regulated aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in Supplier Quality/Manufacturing Quality roles.
• 3+ years supervising personnel in a QA environment.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100D, AS9102, and AS9145 required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers and drive performance across the BU.
• Own supplier quality performance: scorecards, escalations, containment, CAPA.
• Ensure adherence to QMS and implement corrective actions (8D/SCAR).
• Collaborate with Global Supply Chain on cross-BU initiatives and cost/quality improvements.
• Review and approve supplier CAPA responses and monitor closure.
