Job summary

Skurnik Wines & Spirits is seeking a highly motivated South Bay-based Spirits Specialist to join our team in California. This role supports sales efforts and maximizes distribution and visibility of Skurnik Spirits brands across on-premise and off-premise accounts from South San Francisco to Santa Cruz, Monterey and Carmel.

Key duties include delivering samples, in-store tastings, consumer events, staff trainings, and portfolio education for sales teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of alcohol beverage sales, hospitality, or related experience.
• Strong cocktail knowledge and a genuine passion for hospitality.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; highly organized with problem-solving abilities.
• Must be based in Sonoma, Napa or Sacramento.

Responsibilities

• Support sales representatives in promoting and selling spirits brands
• Deliver spirits samples to accounts
• Execute in-store tastings
• Schedule and lead consumer events in partnership with on and off premise accounts
• Participate in supplier and market work with brand and sales managers
• Assist with research and development for high-touch cocktail programs
• Provide portfolio education to sales representatives and customers
• Conduct staff trainings at account locations
• Manage account relationships through regular in-person visits and virtual communication
• Act as a conduit for the spirits portfolio by communicating messaging, updates and priorities effectively with sales representatives
• Participate in monthly company sales meetings and spirits events
• Complete sales initiatives, goals, and incentive programs
• Track and report on sales activity; analyze data to support decision-making

Skurnik Wines & Spirits is seeking a highly motivated and organized South Bay-based Spirits Specialist to join our team in California. This role is ideal for someone with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for spirits and hospitality. The Spirits Specialist will be responsible for supporting sales efforts and maximizing the distribution and visibility of Skurnik Spirits brands across both on-premise and off-premise accounts throughout South San Francisco to San Jose and including Santa Cruz, Monterey and Carmel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hospitality or bar programs
• Culinary or tasting room environments
• Supplier or wholesale distribution
• Strong cocktail knowledge and a genuine passion for hospitality
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook)
• Must be based in Sonoma, Napa or Sacramento

COMPENSATION

Based on experience: $75K-85K
