Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric speech therapy in patients' homes or daytime facilities. Clinician will assess, test, and document outcomes for ages 0-21, with sessions 2+ times weekly per physician orders.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to set goals, plan interventions, educate staff and caregivers, and possibly supervise Clinical Fellows or SLPAssistants if you have 3+ years of experience.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University.
  • Clinical Fellowship year (CCC-SLP) completed.
  • Texas license to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience in pediatrics required.
  • Home health experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
  • Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
  • In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions.
  • Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
  • Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program.
  • May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience.
