Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for pediatric home health in Texas. You will deliver skilled therapy to patients 0–21 years old at home or in daytime facilities, with 2+ sessions per week as prescribed by physicians.

The role requires completing CFY and active Texas license, with preference for bilingual Spanish speakers. Duties include testing, diagnosis, and collaboration with the care team to meet patient goals and provide training for staff

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• CCC-SLP certification or clinical fellowship completion.
• Texas license to practice Speech-Language Pathology.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy in home or daytime facility settings for patients aged 0–21.
• Determine degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, and related impairments using appropriate assessments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan goals and train staff and caregivers.
• Plan and modify care to meet therapy goals and educate staff and caregivers.

Requirements

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
