Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Irving, TX seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric services in patients' homes or daytime facilities.

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating speech, language, voice, and feeding disorders, interpreting data, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team. A CFY/CCC-SLP and Texas license are required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program (required).
• Texas licensure to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
• CCC-SLP certification or CFY completion.
• Experience in pediatrics required; home health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy to patients aged 0–21 in home or daytime facility settings.
• Determine degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, and related impairments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and to train staff, caregivers, and patients.
• Educate stakeholders by delivering trainings and printed materials within a comprehensive speech therapy program.
• May supervise Clinical Fellows or Assistants with 3+ years of experience.

Requirements

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
