Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to serve pediatric clients in home and daytime clinic settings in Texas.

You will provide skilled therapy for ages 0–21, develop individualized treatment plans, interpret diagnostic data, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve goals. Mentoring Clinical Fellows or SLP Assistants may be required. A driving role and bilingual Spanish abilities are a plus as we serve diverse families.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year (CCC-SLP).
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Texas.
• Experience in pediatrics required; home health preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility for ages 0–21, 2+ times per week.
• Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, swallowing, and related disorders using appropriate tests.
• Interpret data and prepare diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan goals and train staff.
• Adapt care plans to meet therapy goals and patient needs.
• Educate staff and caregivers through training and materials.
• May supervise Clinical Fellows or SLP Assistants with 3+ years of experience.

Requirements:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University


• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP


• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas


• Experience in pediatrics required


• Home health experience preferred


• Bilingual in Spanish a plus


• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders


• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments


• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports


• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions


• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions


• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program


• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
